Mental stimulation, artistic expression, and compassion make the Pigment world go ’round…”
Pigment is a supporter of the RAW Art Gallery Exhibit: “I post the RAW show deets every month out of my genuine belief that this show and its curator, Carly Ivan Garcia, are the real deal holyfields. RAW, a compliment to Oakland’s Art Murmur, continually blows my socks off with the high quality of artwork and the controversial, innovative artists. This Friday will be the grand daddy of RAW shows, loaded with artwork that carries insanely provocative socio-political messages. Start your weekend off right with swatsikas, presidents, and racially charged images all balanced with the peaceful lighting installation of RH.
Featured RAW artists (many have past and recent interviews in Dig In Magazine): Nate (N8) Van Dyke , Carly Ivan Garcia, and Travis Somerville. In addition, the RAW ART GALLERY EXHIBIT on 09.03.10 is pleased to present the fine artistic talents of the following seven inspiring contemporary artists: Chor Boogie, Michael Cuffe, Amir Ebrahimi / NYC photographer, Brandon Hanson, Robert D. Harris / Sculpture, Karine Leung, and Ramekon O’ Arwisters.
Amanda Padilla and Pigment encourage you to “Do your social conscious a favor and get to the Uptown Gallery this Friday.” The Uptown is located at 1951 Telegraph Ave Oakland, CA (20th and Telegraph) 6PM-9PM.
